Course Overview
Landscape architecture is the art and science of designing outdoor spaces that are both functional and beautiful. It involves planning and creating environments such as parks, gardens, streetscapes, recreational areas, and urban developments that improve the quality of life for communities while respecting nature. Landscape architects combine creativity with environmental awareness to shape spaces that respond to both human needs and ecological systems. From choosing the right plants and materials to designing pathways, water features, and public spaces, landscape architecture plays a vital role in how we experience the world outside. It’s not just about planting trees or drawing layouts—it’s about designing meaningful outdoor environments that promote sustainability, improve urban living, and create a better balance between people and nature.
If you’re passionate about design, the environment, and shaping the future of our cities and landscapes, landscape architecture offers a rewarding and impactful career path.

Shaping Environments Through Creative Vision and Sustainable Design
The Advanced Diploma in Landscape Architecture at CSD College prepares you to become a future-focused landscape designer who understands the balance between nature, people, and space. Over two years, you’ll develop a strong foundation in design thinking, environmental planning, and site development—equipping you with the creative and technical skills to shape functional, aesthetic, and sustainable outdoor environments. Whether designing urban parks, residential gardens, or public spaces, you’ll learn to create landscapes that enhance communities and respond thoughtfully to the natural world.
Year 1
You’ll be introduced to the core concepts of landscape architecture and begin to build your visual and technical communication skills. You’ll explore how to observe and analyse natural and built environments, and translate ideas into visual concepts through a combination of freehand sketching, basic planning, and digital drafting tools. You’ll also begin to understand plant selection and basic ecological awareness as it applies to outdoor space design. Hands-on practice, guided observation, and fundamental design exercises will form the base of your creative development.
Throughout the year, you’ll be encouraged to think critically about how landscape design affects communities, culture, and the environment—while also developing your confidence in communication, visual storytelling, and teamwork.
Year 2
In the second year, you’ll take your skills to the next level with deeper exposure to urban design strategies, master planning, and sustainable solutions. You’ll begin working on more complex, real-world projects—focusing on how to integrate functionality, aesthetics, and environmental responsibility into your designs. This includes practical training in material usage, construction detailing, and design presentation techniques. You’ll also refine your ability to use advanced 2D and 3D landscape drawing software, while continuing to strengthen your design thinking and professional expression.
Your final year includes opportunities to work on real project simulations and participate in a paid internship, giving you direct insight into the landscape architecture profession. With personalised coaching and portfolio guidance, you’ll be fully prepared to launch your career or pursue further studies in the field.
Internship & 1-On-1 Personalized Coaching
